The Mecer 1000VA Line Interactive UPS (ME-1000-VU) is a compact and dependable uninterruptible power supply designed to provide backup power and protection for computers, networking equipment, CCTV systems, point-of-sale equipment and other essential electronic devices. With a 1000VA / 600W capacity, it is suitable for home offices, workstations, small businesses and other environments where reliable power continuity is required.
The ME-1000-VU uses line-interactive UPS technology with built-in Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR). AVR helps compensate for moderate voltage fluctuations, including under-voltage and over-voltage conditions, helping maintain a more stable supply to connected equipment while reducing unnecessary battery usage.
When utility power fails, the UPS switches connected equipment to battery power with a typical transfer time of 2–6 milliseconds, with specifications from available listings indicating a maximum transfer time of approximately 10 milliseconds. This rapid transition helps maintain power to connected devices during short interruptions and blackouts.
During battery operation, the ME-1000-VU provides a simulated sine-wave output. This makes it suitable for many common electronic loads such as desktop computers, monitors, routers, switches, POS systems and CCTV equipment.
The UPS supports a range of input voltages, with the 220/230/240V configuration supporting an input range reported around 162–290V AC. The output voltage can be configured for compatible 220V, 230V or 240V applications.
For convenient monitoring and management, the ME-1000-VU is available with USB communication support, allowing compatible software to monitor UPS status and power conditions. The UPS also provides RJ-11/RJ-45 surge protection, helping protect connected telephone and network communication lines against electrical surges.
The ME-1000-VU includes several useful operating functions. Cold-start capability allows the UPS to provide battery power even when utility electricity is unavailable. Auto-restart enables the UPS to resume normal operation after utility power is restored, while off-mode charging allows the battery to continue charging when the UPS is switched off.
Multiple protection mechanisms help safeguard both the UPS and connected equipment. These include overload, overcharge and discharge protection, while audible alarms provide warnings for battery operation, low battery, overload and fault conditions.
The Mecer ME-1000-VU combines practical power protection features with a compact tower design, making it a cost-effective solution for users who need dependable backup power and voltage regulation without requiring a larger enterprise UPS system.
